This painting shows ancient Greek workman constructing a temple capturing when the last block of its frieze is being heaved into place. The greek inscription quotes Aristotle's hymn to the virtues of battle. The original painting is 92.5 inches wide and 37 inches high. This masperpiece is in the Alte Nationalgalerie, staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
