First of all, let me say “thank you” for stopping by and browsing through my gallery. And a special “thank you” to those of you who have joined my fan club, left comments or have purchased my work. I greatly appreciate your interest and involvement.
This gallery presents images of many of my artistic efforts over the years. Earlier in life I worked as a studio artist in Southern California. There I developed a medium that allowed me to create what I called “sculpted marble paintings”. The images of a number of these can be found under the heading “Sculpted Marble Paintings”. Later, the path of my life led me to carve statues from boulders and rock formations I found in nature. These include the “Winged Woman/Reclining Man”, carved in the Simi Hills outside Los Angeles; others throughout the world are shown under the heading “Environmental Sculptures”. Then, in 1986, prompted by a dream, I began an artistic and spiritual journey I called the “World Wheel: Cultivating Peace Through the Arts”. Over the next eight years I traveled around the world, carving monumental sculptures and creating community-based ritual ceremonies in twelve countries. Images of these works are presented under the heading “World Wheel”. Recently, I have completed three books – “ Liberty Enlightening the World”, “Of Earth & Fire”, and “World Wheel; One Woman’s Quest for Peace”. Images from the covers of these books can be found under the heading “Book Covers”, and some of the artwork created for “Liberty Enlightening the World” is shown under the heading “Lady Liberty”. Finally, there are a number of other pieces, primarily smaller sculptures that I want to present; images of these can be found under the heading “Other Sculptures”. Please be patient with me for a while, these galleries are still under construction and all the images are not available yet. Please enjoy all of this, and, please, let me know what you think.
