Lord have mercy; this is very similar to the one I learned to type on. It had one font (Courier, I think - like the words I added to the image). I just found this little guy online and it is for sale for $495, which is probably equal to a year's salary in 1937. This little gem created callouses the size of Denmark.

I have a Remington typewriter under my desk that I retired many years ago that looks a lot like this. It is so beautiful that I can't get rid of it. I even took a series of artistic photos of it. Thanks for sharing.

These are things of beauty! I typed many papers for school and many news stories (another life) on Underwoods and Royals. 5*s for the memories.

Gosh, this is an antique and to think those are one's I learned on! Maybe just simular!

I can't believe it has been so long that I am an antique as well!

Yes, I remember these too! I didn't have a typewriter at home and I had to type college reports on this type of typewriter in the college library! You have to really push on the keys! Funny! 5**********
