About The Seesaw This beautiful illustration was first printed around 1881 by famous printer Raphael Tuck and Sons of London --the foremost printer of the day of colored children's books and postcards It was shown in the book, "Only A Doll" about Polly and her doll Sylvia Jane (“Jenny” for short). "Bobby goes flying ever so high See-Saw -- See Saw! Down to the grass go Jenny and I -- See-Saw See-Saw! By the end of the book, Polly realizes that she loves her doll much more than the doll loves her. The book was written by prolific poet Helen Marion Burnside.
