Water Print by iappapl
"Apparel Ism was born out my need to create real fashion statements. I naturally designed clothing using specific colors, textures, lines, and forms to convey a message. My visuals won lots of affection, but my vision was lost. I wanted my couture to speak without opening my mouth. How do I make people conscious of what comes natural to me? How do I get people to understand as humans are related to one another, we are related to colors and numbers? And colors and numbers are related to plants and animals that are related to humans and so on. I eventually found my rosetta stone. Apparel Ism had a voice, but the Orishas provided a microphone. I teach people about the Orishas, so they can understand energy. When they understand energy they can identify the messages in my art or design. Or of any image for that matter. Blue is not just blue because its blue. Blue is water and water is healing." says Queen. Members of the Yoruba pantheon, the energy of Orisha Yemoya and Orisha Osun prevail throughout Tiger@Night.Com. Jing Coqui uses the color blue, sheer textures, curvy lines, and empasizes the breasts -a symbol of maternity- to capture the spirit of Yemoya. Jing Coqui uses the color orange, soft textures, diagonal lines, and the natural body to capture the spirit of Osun. This fashion photography meets photorealism is a expression of cultural and sexual maturation. "The tiger is one of my totem animals. @Night represents something in obscurity and .Com is a connection. Tiger@Night.Com is about me connecting with my truth. Connecting with mySelf. My universe. My soul. My mind. My body. My society. My ancestry. Then back to God." says Queen. About Jing Coqui Jing Coqui is the premier collection of Apparel Ism. Apparel Ism is defined as a system or process of clothing or covering a body in union with its mind and spirit to increase knowledge of Self.
