I'm on the Autistic Spectrum and from a very early age, have had the experience of getting crosswise with people. Since I was never diagnosed, I took it as being what my parents thought it to be: "He's too smart for his own good."
As a consequence, I've been active within the abuse survival community with various levels of intensity at various times
I owe a great debt to many fine and ethical people within the BDSM community for helping me cope with the who I was in order to become the me I am.
When your needs conflict with your morals - bad things happen. When bad things happen to other people, that's unacceptable. Leatherfolk were the first people I encountered who truly understood this and who had worked out a consistent, ethical approach to avoiding harm to others; a solution that scales quite well.
For those who may understand, I share many of the values of the "Old Leather" and Punk communities. Neither corporation nor church nor state has the right to use force in any form to restrict my liberty.
I'm devoted to the idea that free, frequent and passionate speech within a well-informed community of self-aware individuals. I illustrate my blog with t-shirts I make here.
