White Peony Watercolor Poster Print
by lillyartsThis beautiful flower is a white peony. These spectacular flowers have been cultivated and revered in China and Japan as far back as 600 B.C. Rich with symbolism from health and prosperity to romance and good luck, they like to grown in cool dry locations. They come in every color with endlessly different shapes and fullness.
This watercolor was a study of warm whites and shadow blendings. I love these giant lovely blooms. They unfurl with such grace. I am simply a flower nut, but the peony is in it's own unique class. They feel rich and noble somehow. Maybe I was Chinese or Japenese in another life? Thanks for visiting.
