Artist: Diane Clancy; Title: Window into the Universe; Medium: Digital
Looking Within and Without - Window into the Universe – a framework of angular, parallel, multi-colored lines forms a telescope or multi-framed pair of glasses. Many of the openings in this frame have glowing auras of magenta on both the inside and outside of each border. This structure provides a view into the beyond. Lime green sheets of color, with azure, violet, indigo and cyan highlights, appear beyond this configuration. The green turns into celeste, turquoise and royal blue. Raspberry, rose, fuchsia layers emerge and then orange and tangerine pierce the pinks. Red, Robin egg blue, iris and white peek out of these expanses of colours. The colors pop out against the rich black of the deep universe. This matrix nurtures forming universes and then allows them to pour out into the great unknown, to evolve and create and reinvent themselves at each moment, to dance and whirl and twirl as they create new mini worlds as they play together.
Window into the Universe – is this a telescope looking at a microcosm? Perhaps, a telescope looking at outer space, the macrocosm? Or maybe a pair of glasses – looking in the mirror? Looking at others? Inner, outer, self, others, we are all reflections of each other. Each part of the whole contains the whole. That is part of why it matters so much how we treat ourselves and how we treat others. Uplift your day with this tempting vision. You may experience peace, serenity and healing as you look at my work. Bring this oasis into your home for yourself and to share with others - whether next to your computer on a mouse pad, mug, notebook, plate, or a shirt, tote bag, iPad or iPod cover, card, puzzle or on your living room wall.
