It's like the difference between an electric clothes dryer and a clothesline. What's more extreme, hanging your clothes out to dry, or burning up gunk that you pump out of the ground, sending smoke to dirty the air in order to power a machine that noisily turns around and around inside your house in order to make the clothes dry there?
