I Ching Hexagram 5 Hsu "Waiting" Adult Apron
Surrounded by the Fu Hsi Arrangement of the trigrams. The Hsu (Xu) hexagram, Do not doubt that the wait is necessary. Symbolic variations include "attending", "waiting", "moistened", "contemplation", and "arriving". Clouds of nourishing rainwater drift high in heaven. Formed by the trigrams water over heaven. the upper trigram is Khan and its lower trigram is Khien. Hsu relates to patience and waiting. There will soon be major changes. However the nature of the changes is unclear. This may cause anxiety, and it's in this area that "nourishment" is needed. You're in a sort of limbo, and all you can do is wait and see what it is. Hsu reminds us that periods of waiting are a necessary part of life and that that time is not wasted when you are waiting with the confident knowledge that sooner or later the drought will end.
