In March, we honor Women’s History Month. Women’s History Month is a time to honor the contributions of women to history, culture, and society. To spotlight and celebrate this dedication, we asked our Zazzle Creators to share inspirational stories with us where Women in their lives have inspired their creativity.
We are proud to have established a community where our Independent Creators use their creative process to spread awareness and show support for other communities.
To honor Women’s History Month, we would like to share their stories with you.

“What collection or design has a woman in your life inspired? How did they inspire this?”
Sophia Beatty
“My grandma, Jo, inspired me to make this invitation.
She was married in the 60s and they didn’t have anything like downloadable invites or print on demand. She loves the pale pink, gardening, and flowers. She turns 80 this April so I made this in honor of her.
I hope that a little part of my grandma is a piece of weddings. She has been a mentor to so many people regarding marriage or relationships.
Grandma Jo inspires me everyday.”

“My sister is a marine photographer and her love of the ocean has inspired many of my sea life Zazzle designs!
I have many beautiful memories of us swimming together in the ocean as children, and last year we snorkeled together in the Mediterranean Sea. Her love of the ocean and gorgeous ocean photos constantly reminds me to appreciate this big and beautiful universe we live in.”
Jamie Stevenson
“Much of my Zazzle store is inspired by my love for fishing.
I am a competitive female kayak angler who shares my joy for fishing through social media and traveling to competitive kayak fishing tournaments world wide. Fishing is a male dominated sport but as far as competition goes is an even playing field and not based on gender. My goal is to support other women in the outdoors and in the fishing industry.”
Sandy Mertens
“My daughter has been an inspiration for many of my designs.
She has a group of friends who get together socially. They have outings and special parties. They get together so often, they call themselves The Clambake. As a surprise for Christmas, she asked me to create some wine labels that she could share with the group. She mentioned that it had to have a clam in the middle, seashell background, and the words, ‘The Clambake’. From there, I came up with a few variations of the design. She inspired me so well with the design, that I have made many products of it.”
Kathe Santillo
“My beautiful mother, Carol Kuhn, inspired my Barnwood and Daisies wedding invitation design, which is actually the first design I ever created.
My mother is very artistic, and she expresses her creativity in many ways. She taught me how to appreciate the beauty in antiques, especially primitive pieces that silently tell their story with their worn edges and weathered wood. My mother is unpretentious, simple, and beautiful, just like her favorite flower, the daisy. My mother’s love fills my life every day the way daisies fill a field in July, and I am so lucky to still have her in my life.
My Barnwood and Daisies wedding invitation is my tribute to her influence on my life. Love you, mom!”

“My mother, an experienced self-taught seamstress, inspired me to create the ‘Love Is Kind Legging Collection.’
Growing up she made most of her clothes in high school because she couldn’t afford to buy new ones. She also made her own wedding dress in 1980. Her creativity, kindness, and love have made me into the woman I am today. Her inspiring example, encouragement, and support have been very valuable to me in my career and life. She taught me to always be kind and to show love, and I have used these skills to keep moving in the right direction no matter what. I am so grateful for my mother and all the women in my community. They have always been there for me.”
