Here’s how you do it:

First, fill each bag with 1-2 teaspoons of loose tea. We used 2 teaspoons because we like it strong!

Next, secure the tea within the bag. Do this by folding the bag in half width-wise (skip this step if you are using smaller tea bags). Then fold the top, open corners inward (paper airplane style), creating a point. Fold the point toward the edge of the folded corners. This will create the look of a classic, store-bought tea bag. Then, using the small hole punch, pierce a hole in the center of the folded point.

To fasten the folded bag, cut 10” of twine. Create a cow hitch knot by inserting both ends of the twine through the punched hole. Then thread the ends through the back loop.

Lastly, add the favor tag with a simple square knot. It’s as simple as that!

Before giving them away, be sure to brew yourself a cup for quality assurance. Take a sip and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
