About This Design
Recycling Seahorse Mouse Pad
While volunteering cleaning coast areas, to could offer to everyone a better environment, and also protect some areas with a high ecological value. I had the idea of using some non-organic waste-materials, obtained from beaches and coast areas, such a cans, plastics, papers, bags, etc.. to create a collage-work series of well-know and important Marine Animals that need to be protected. That way people could get more involved in the though of the Earth-care, respect, Ecology and Protection of some species.----- Long-snouted Seahorse, Hippocampus guttulatus, ( Cuvier, 1829 )----- The long-snouted seahorse (Hippocampus guttulatus) is a species of fish in the Syngnathidae family. The long-snouted seahorse is also referred to as the spiny seahorse and is native to the northeast Atlantic, including the Mediterranean sea. Long-snouted seahorses live in shallow, sheltered waters, hiding among the seaweed and sea-grass and neptune-grass. Their reproduction is interesting, with females depositing the eggs in a pouch in the male's abdomen, where he incubates them for 5 weeks. At the end of this time, the pouch repeatedly contracts until the small completely formed hatch-lings are released.
