When a disaster strikes, children are among the most vulnerable victims. The earthquake caused major damage, and many children who survived the earthquake and tsunami have lost their family, friends, and community. In this store the money we raise will be donated to a local charity group called IVY. The group is based in Northeast Japan, where the damage was most severe, and provides direct support to those in need. The funds raised in this store will be directed to IVY and used to provide support for children. Sora, our store name, means “sky” in Japanese, and our hope is to help bring back smiles to the clouded faces of the children who have been affected by this tragedy.
Information of the charity group IVY can be found here: http://www.ivyivy.org/e/tohoku-region-earthquake-relief-ngo-center.html .
