The Emperor has no clothes Bumper Sticker
America's first African American President. That's all we saw, and we ignored the rest. The books he'd already written, the speeches in which he lambasted capitalism and promised revenge on the "Corporations", his euphamism for "White Executives". His decision to listen to poison in the pews of his church for 20 years. His wife's declarations that America is mean. It was all there before the election. And not enough of America paid attention. So now we know the consequences of style without substance. We've seen it our whole lives - at work, at school. But never before has it threatened to destroy our entire way of life. A man, with no management experience, who has never run a business, who has never made an objective or profound decision in his life. A man who is guided by anger and hatred, and pride in his ability to remember every transgression against him - perceived or otherwise - in his life. A man who has assumed a despotic power, and is as-yet unchallenged by a Democratic Congress. We live in a Democracy, not an Autocracy. And this self-appointed Emperor is not qualified to lead us. Tell others what they already suspect, and restore the balance in Congress beginning in 2010.
