Vintage A.Okay Bonsai Adult Apron
Proceeds from this product will go towards the National Bonsai Foundation (NBF). The National Bonsai Foundation has three major funds. Two of the funds are named in honor of bonsai masters, Yuji Yoshimura and John Y. Naka. Both of these men played influential roles in bringing bonsai to prominence in the United States and they were instrumental in the establishment and development of the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum. The third fund is named in honor of Mary E. Mrose who was a most generous patron and benefactor to the Museum. Each fund has a specific purpose: 1) The Yuji Yoshimura Education Fund was inaugurated for the purpose of educating the American public about the art of bonsai. Contributions to this fund provide for lectures, seminars and publications on bonsai, penjing and the related arts. The fund is also used for the design and printing of materials about the Museum and its collections and history. A current project that is drawing on these funds is for the installation of improved educational signage within the Museum complex. 2) The John Y. Naka Collections and Facilities Fund was founded for the benefit and improvement of the collections and facilities of the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum and in particular to enhance the John Y. Naka North American Pavilion. NBF is now soliciting contributions to this fund for the paving of the interior of the North American Pavilion to make it accessible for all visitors. 3) The Mary E Mrose International Pavilion Fund was endowed by Mary E. Mrose to embellish the facilities of the Mary E. Mrose International Pavilion and to support the educational and cultural programs and activities held within this Pavilion. Most recently this fund was used for the installation of a visitor orientation map in the International Pavilion.
