Vintage Eiffel Tower Trucker Hat
Vintage French Postcard of the Eiffel Tower
This beautiful vintage Eiffel Tower postcard is a gorgeous drawing of the Eiffel Tower in paris, in full color. The drawing shows the tower in brown, with blue and white clouds in the background, and trees and little people in the foreground. The Eiffel Tower postcard is a reproduction from the Exposition Universelle of 1889, which was the World's Fair held in Paris, France from May to October 1889.
The French Exposition Universelle unveiled the Eiffel Tower for the first time. The Eiffel Tower was one of the attractions of the exposition, and was the entrance arch to the Fair. The Eiffel tower was designed by Gustave Eiffel, who built it with wrought iron. The tower was completed in 1889, but not in time to be entirely completed by the time the exposition opened. When the fair opened, the Eiffel Tower was still being worked on, but visitors were allowed to climb up the stairs to the second floor platform to view the fair and the city of Paris.
