Vintage Europe Travel Print 1970a slide6
These are slides scanned at 3600 dpi from a 35 millimeter film camera, and restored and enhanced by bloomingvinedesign from a treasure trove of my grandparent's European travels during the 1960's and 1970's. They went on several month long trips and saw palaces castles, small towns and tourist stops. I have travel journals they kept and as I scan and restore these treasures for my family, my father, who has also been to Europe several times, is helping me try to identify some of the places. It is fun to see the vinatge clothing, shops, cobblestone streets, lines of tall old downtown homes and vintage cars and trains. My gradndparents are no longer with us so I treasure these memories. I would like to share them using my graphic design and photoshop skills and create art from these memories. I will be adding detailed descriptions as identify places. This is a huge project as there are three large moving boxes filled with slides. A little about my grandparents, The married and grew up in the Chicago area, born in the 1920's. My grandmother was a painter and my grandfather served in the airforce during World War II. They married after he returned home.
