Zodiac Crescent Moon Trucker Hat
Alphonse Mucha's Crescent Moon
This design shows an Art Nouveau styled new moon, or a crescent moon, surrounded by poppy seed pods. The image is in golds and bronzes, and the whole image is in the shape of a circle. Very graphic, and very beautiful! This gift is for anyone who loves Art Nouveau designs, and for those who love the phases of the moon.
About the Zodiac Moon by Alphonse Mucha
The Zodiac Crescent Moon is a small piece of the image Zodiac, which was originally published as a calendar for Champenois in 1896, after which it became the design for the La Plume Magazine. Zodiac is considered one of the best Art Nouveau pieces ever made. The artist, Aphonse Mucha, had a distinctive style, and produced many Art Nouveau posters and graphics in his day. He was a Czech painter and decorative artist, and was well known for his unusual style that graced the pages of magazines and was placed on postcards and other designs.
