【ておけ】渡辺守綱は本名よりも「槍の半蔵」の異名で知られてた。永禄五年(1562)三河の八幡合戦で殿(しんがり)をつとめ、槍一本で数十人の味方の命を救ったという・・。つねに家康の身辺につき、半蔵の金の手桶の指物を見て、家康の岡山着陣まちがいなしと、関ヶ原の敵物見(斥候)が報じたというエピソードを残した。「手桶」は初期には家紋としても見られた(高橋賢一著「大名家の家紋」)
この図案は同書を参考に作図(2015.5.10)した。家紋は他に、三つ星一文字、渡辺扇、夕顔に月。
