【おしきにさんかくじ】折敷は隅切角ともいう。”三”文字は瀬戸内海に鎮座する三島大明神すなわち大山祇神（おおやまつみのかみ）のシンボルである。・・この神は山ノ神でもあるが海ノ神でもあるから、分霊は全国に勧請された。（丹羽基二著「家紋百話 下」）／呼称であるが、「紋典」は”隅切角に三角字”、「紋の志をり」「標準紋章集成」は”隅角切三木”、「平安紋鑑」「紋之泉」は”隅切角に三木”、「江戸紋章集」は”隅切に三木”「紋章大集成」は”隅切り角に三本”としており一定していない。
