04 Vespasian's 4th Lucky Roman Legion Lion Apparel T-Shirt

This Legion was made up of the discharged veterans of the IV Macedonica, which had been disbanded in 69 AD after being partially compromised by the rebel leader Civilis. Emperor Vespasian reconstituted the Legion in 70 AD as the IV Flavia Felix, stationing it in Dalmatia. Among its soldiers was Javolenus Priscus, who became one of Rome's most famous jurists during Trajan's reign. The Legion defended the western half of the Lower Danube frontier when the Dacians invaded in 86 AD, and two years later the Legion was one of those that invaded Dacia. In 98 the Legion served in Trajan's Dacian Campaigns, then was transferred back to Belgrade by Trajan's successor, Hadrian. The Legion was instrumental in Marcus Aurelius' campaigns against the Germanic tribes across the Danube, launched in 165. One of its officers was future-Emperor Clodius Albinus. In the 3rd century the Legion took part in more wars against the Parthian Empire. By the start of the 4th century it was back in Belgrade, and was later active along the Danube, but disappears from record during that century. Its emblem was the lion. "Flavia Felix" - Lucky Flavian Legion.

Great quality tshirt. Arrived looking REALLY big, but once it was washed, it seems fairly true to size. Exactly as pictured. Design and colors printed exactly as expected. High quality printing.

I am happy with my purchase. The tee shirt is a nice quality. Not too thin, but not high end. It is what I had expected. I am happy with the color and the design. I am giving it as a gift, so I don't yet know anything about fading. The sizing looks to be true. The printing looks very nice. The colors are not bright, which is what I was expecting.
