06 Octavian 6th Victrix Roman Legion Eagle T-shirt
This Legion was formed in 41 BC by Octavian. He used the surviving veterans of Caesar's 6th Ferrata, who'd been discharged in 45. Marcus Lepidus had re-formed a 6th Ferrata for Mark Antony to use, but the vets of the original 6th Ferrata formed the core of Octavian's new Legion. He commonly formed his own Legions with numbers that already existed in Antony's army. After Octavian's victory at Actium in 31 BC, the Legion was stationed in Spain for over a century. Soldiers of this Legion, as well as X Gemina, were among the first settlers of Cordoba, Merida, and Zaragoza. In 67 AD, after Nero's position deteriorated, Servius Galba was proclaimed Emperor in the Legionary camp of this Legion. After Galba fell, the Legion fought under Vespasian against the Batavians, and were so victorious in a hard-fought battle at Xanten that an inscription commemorates them, their commander, and Vespasian. It then became part of the army of Germania Inferior. It fought in the Dacian Wars at the end of the first century AD, and in 121, it went to Britain with Emperor Hadrian. While there, the Legion built the section of Hadrian's Wall between Newcastle and Carlisle, as well as a bridge across the river Tyne. They also helped build the Antonine Wall between Edinburgh and Glasgow. One of the Legion's officers in 165-66 was the future-Emperor Publius Pertinax. The Legion later recaptured and rebuilt York after a period of more civil war. During the 3rd century AD, the Legion remained at York and shared Britain's fate. Its last known mention is in the late 4th century, when it was likely withdrawn back to the continent under Emperor Honorius.

The durability and quality is great. I am very pleased. The tee has met all of my expectations and my grandson loves it! i made it for a Christmas gift to give to him.
Patrick plays the accordion very well! He said G-Ma I am going to wear it back to school the first day after the holidays! That really made me feel good and knowing that he really does love it! The colors did not run at all. Looks great! Looked exactly as online, but better in person.

We are wearing these matching shirts at our co-ed bach party as we share our last night together as single folks with our friends. The shirts are high quality and it's nice to have a female version of the male shirt so that it fits my body perfectly.
