11th ACR Valorous Unit Award - Cambodia Shirt
The 11th ACR was awarded the Valorous Unit Award for the Cambodian Incursion (invasion of the "Fish Hook" region of Cambodia as part of Task Force Shoemaker, Operation Rockcrusher. The award, the unit equivalent of the individual Silver Star, was granted in June 1971, so most Blackhorse Troopers who fought there are not aware they were entitled to wear the award So now is your chance! This shirt features the the unit designation and M551 and M113 silhouettes cut-out of the Vietnam Service Ribbon and the Valorous Unit Award in photo-real full-color. I figured since I got the cheapest of the shirt that it wouldn't hold up to the environment I was going to be in when wearing it. The shirt was soft and the fabric not too thin or too thick and more durable then I would have expected. The colors were good...I would have thought that they would have been a little more vibrant...the colors probably had more to do with the colors of the design then anything but over all I kind of thought it was cool that the printing on the shirt was basically "inked" into the fabric instead of the usage of fabric paint which usually can get warped and crinkled.
