The 11th Airborne Division Tribute design honors the brave "Arctic Angels" of the US Military. This airborne force was activated in 1943 and rose to prominence in the Philippines during World War II. The Arctic Angels distinguished themselves on the battlefield with thrilling jumps and fierce combat. Following their victories, they joined Japan's occupation force, symbolizing strength and resilience.
The US Military Alaska Headquarters will be renamed the 11th Airborne Division by 2022. The 1st and 4th Brigade Combat Teams were renamed the 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Teams of the 11th Airborne Division.
This design honors the 11th Airborne Division's legacy, as well as the brave men and women who served with valor and sacrifice. Allow their bravery and determination to motivate you as you carry on their legacy.
