Tribute to the American military's heroic "Arctic Angels" is featured in the 11th Airborne Division design. This renowned airborne battalion was established in 1943 and gained notoriety in the Philippines during World War II for its fearless leaps and strong combat presence. After their military victories, they showed courage and perseverance as part of the occupation forces in Japan. In 2022, the U.S. Military reconfigured the 11th Airborne Division, designating the 1st and 4th Brigade Combat Teams as the division's 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Teams and renaming the Alaska Headquarters. This artwork is a heartfelt tribute to the famous history of the 11th Airborne and the courageous men and women who served under its command.
