1565 Forlani AntiquevWorld Map Renaissance Gunmetal Finish Lapel Pin
Embark on a journey through history with this magnificent 1565 World Map by Paolo Forlani, a true masterpiece of Renaissance cartography. Titled "VNIVERSALE DESCRITTIONE DI TVTTA LA TERRA CONOSCIVTA FIN QVI" (Universal description of all the known land so far), this antique atlas print showcases the world as understood in the mid-16th century. It features beautifully illustrated cherubs and allegorical figures in the corners, intricate sailing ships navigating the oceans, and fascinating depictions of known and unknown landmasses. The aged parchment texture adds to its authentic historical charm, making it a perfect piece for history buffs, explorers at heart, or anyone who appreciates vintage maps and the art of ancient world discovery.

To do again, I would order the JEB Stuart in the small round style. That is just my personal preference. Also, I like the Forrest pin with the Confederate National Flag background since he fought in the army of Tennessee. However, I would prefer the Confederate Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia as the backdrop for the Stuart lapel pin ... as you well know, Stuart commanded the cavalry arm of the Army of Northern Virginia and fought under the Southern Cross or Cross of Saint Andrew. Karl Brauneis, Lander, Wyoming. Excellent - very clear and bold. +
