Explore the heroic story of the 17th Airborne Division, also known as "The Golden Talons," a distinguished unit of the United States Military during World War II, led by Major General William M. Miley.
Activated in April 1943, the division underwent rigorous training before arriving in Britain in August 1944. Under Major General Matthew B. Ridgway's command, it engaged fiercely in the Ardennes during the Battle of the Bulge, earning several Medals of Honor. Their only airborne operation, Operation Varsity, cemented their legacy.
The division, which pressed through Northern Germany until the end of the war, left an indelible mark. While briefly deployed for occupation duties, it returned home and was briefly reactivated as a training division from 1948 to 1949.

My 11 yo wore adult XL (5’7” 165#). The 8yo is small framed. She wore adult small and tied it in the back. Dark haired male wore adult large and 5’9”, 110# female wore adult medium . Good quality dark Heather gray, Gildan brand shirt. -it was next up from basic choice and cost about $20 per shirt. Not too thick or thin. Washed and dried well, no major shrinkage. Not see-through. Can wear a bra under it fine. Screen print is just as shown and well done, front and back.
