About This Design

17th C Healer Mug

17th C Healer Mug

"17th Century healer women were not burned as witches." Brew truth into your morning routine. This mug shatters the persistent myth that skilled female healers in the 1600s were routinely accused, tried, and executed as witches just for knowing how to cure a cough. The real story? These women were often respected, vital to their communities, and far more likely to be midwives than martyrs. Reducing them to victims of witch trials oversimplifies a much richer, more complex history. Perfect for feminist historians, myth-busters, and anyone who’s tired of lazy historical clichés. • 11 oz ceramic mug, ideal for herbal tea and historical accuracy • Microwave and dishwasher safe • A sharp gift for academics, educators, and anyone who prefers facts over folklore

It is a lovely mug. The actual mug is shiny and smooth. Very nice quality. It was everything I expected. Zazzle has so many nice mid century modern designs to choose from. All so pretty! The design was very clear and looked expensive.

This product caught my eye as the perfect gift that acknowledges the lifelong nurturing of mothers. All cups were individually and securely bubble wrapped for easy reshipping. (nice touch) Printing is a bit small for me to read but I look forward to blessing my daughters and others with this message of their sacrificial love. Thanks much. Printing was a challengingly small for me to read.
