I finally got to another box from the artist’s estate so many of the prints in my shop come from. The box contained a pile of 19th century hand-colored animal prints, on top of which was a typed list of the prints in the box, a description thereof, and the date of the prints. This one was dated 1824, and it’s a beauty, tiger-ally speaking. Plus it looks equally beautiful on all kinds of EVERYTHING, including tapestries. Wanna see more old? I wanted happier curtains in this window so I made a seamless repeat in the things and colors that make me happy and ordered them in this tapestry then made curtain rod pockets. I love how it came out and I can use the fabric to make something else when I’m tired of them. Excellent. The colors are bright and look great the fabric is soft and hangs well.
