1880 William Morris St James Palace Wallpaper Cloth Placemat

The design on this product is inspired by an 1880 St. James’ palace wallpaper designed by William Morris an English textile designer, poet novelist, translator, and social activist who lived from 1834 to 1896. Morris was a major contributor to the revival of traditional British textile arts and methods of production. Much of his work can be found in art galleries and museums and his designs are still in production. Although best known in his lifetime as a poet, Morris is recognized as one of the most significant cultural figures of Victorian Britain.
