Back in the day people sure had problems with their livers. I had dozens of Victorian trade cards advertising products that promise to deliver liver-ial relief. This one's captioned 'Hood's Pills Cure Ills.' And in keeping with the Victorian practice of having an image on the card that has nothing to do with the actual product, this card has a non-bilious looking little kid.
