1944 Captain Future cover Jigsaw Puzzle
Last week at auction I got a box full of 1930s and ‘40s women’s magazines. At the bottom of the box I was astonished to see an old Captain Future magazine, in astonishing condition. Astonishment all around. According to the ‘net, Captain Future series of comic books began life in 1940 and ran until 1944. The character then appeared in other comics series, mainly Startling Stories, Amazing Stories, and Thrilling Wonder Stories. The puzzle was ok. The pieces were really small and they don’t include a blueprint to use. Which would be fine if the photo on the front of the box was larger, but it’s also very small and not really useful for details. I don’t think I’d buy another one from Zazzle until they start providing at least some sort of reference photo. .
