1944 Captain Future cover T-Shirt
Last week at auction I got a box full of 1930s and ‘40s women’s magazines. At the bottom of the box I was astonished to see an old Captain Future magazine, in astonishing condition. Astonishment all around. According to the ‘net, Captain Future series of comic books began life in 1940 and ran until 1944. The character then appeared in other comics series, mainly Startling Stories, Amazing Stories, and Thrilling Wonder Stories. The shirt is good quality and fits just fine, but the colors of the printing are not as bright as in the sample photo. Not the best. The colors are a lot brighter in the sample photo; when I received the shirt they appeared faded. The red looks a little more pink and the blue is a lot lighter. N.B. I did not wash the shirt yet.
