I made a different version of this as a surprise for a friend and, even though I was born in, spent most of my time in, and am now again in the South, I finally had to call her and ask how she spells MEMAW. This is after I Googled it to learn that MEMA is a Sicilian term of endearment for Grandmother and MEMAW is Southern. Now, I know ... ; ) My Grandmothers were Gogee and Mamaw. That just dawned on me. Maybe they were aiming for MEMAW. Hmmmm ? Anyway ... play with the cap styles / colors, and change the initials. These are really well made hats. The destressed look is really well done with an extra layer of material that is 'distressed' with and intact layer of material underneath so you don't get the brim material showing through. This extra material, I would guess, accounts for the added cost of the distressed type hats. Well worth the price for this really well made hat. As a side note; if you have a big head this hat will fit you too. I'm 6'-5" and 300lbs. and a big old head. Fits well. Not stiff. Arrived fast. Embroidery is solid and is exactly as represented in the photos on Zazzle. Looks great and not a stitch out of place.
