3 washable fabric NO SEW gray photo frame crafts
Make 3 washable, NO SEW, gray fabric photo frames, for photos sized 8x10", wallet sized 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", and the smallest 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" - the smallest photo frame has a removable strut leg pocket, that turns into a photo frame fashion brooch pin! No sewing machine required! Zazzle fabric is great for this project! All you need is ON the fabric, all of the panel part patterns are labeled, marked with seam allowances to fold under, lines to cut along for areas to cut away, holes to cut out with an pair of pointy, embroidery scissors, for 3 of the 10 panel patterns for each frame, 7 holes on 3 panels per frame, 2 holes to hang the frame vertically or horizontally on each of the panels for the2 panels that make the front and back of the easel back panel. You thread 1/8" wide ribbon through the 7 holes on 3 of the 10 panels to connect them to make the pocket for the photo and it's protective clear sleeve, an acid free sheet protector page cut to the size of the photo. What to buy: one 5 yard roll, 17" wide of Thermoweb Heat n Bond Ultrahold - this backs the fabric panel patterns, and allows for the panels to not pucker, allows for the frame to stand up, strut leg pocket pitches out - it adds structure to the frame overall, helps lines and corners stay sharp, and ...is acid free - it is an iron on, paper backed, fabric adhesive. Just trace over the fabric panel patterns with cut up sheet protector pages laid over the panels, and transfer the lines / patterns to Ultrahold. Found at Michaels for $8.99 per roll, use a store coupon to save up to 50% off! pack of 50 pages of sheet protectors, 2 for the photo sleeves, use the rest for tracing and transferring the fabric panel patterns to ribbon: two 9" lengths of - 3/8" wide ribbon 9" length of 1 1/2" wide ribbon 1/8" wide ribbon lengths: 2 yards, 1 yard, and 2 feet mat board or cardboard: 20x30" mat board at Michaels for $5, 32x40" at AC Moore for $8 use 3 strut leg board patterns ON the fabric and transfer - for easel back board, use 9x11", 2x3", & 1x2" pointy embroidery scissors - I use Gingher brand, under $10 at Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics fabric scissors iron pencil / paper ruler utility knife paper scissors hot glue sticks 15 low temp glue gun to wash: remove photo, clear sleeve, all boards place in lingerie bag, place in washer on cold, delicate cycle with mild detergent air dry on towel, standing up

Great fabric. So easy to sew. Nice representation of the BLM movement. I highly recommend and will purchase more. Great quality. Nice print. I haven't washed it yet so I hope the colors hold up & don't fade to much.

I helped my 8 year old granddaughter cut and sew this fire truck for her toddler brother. It was a very easy first sewing project for her. Our 6 year old granddaughter also made one with a little more assistance with cutting. Cute! Our 8 year old did this herself. An adult could finish a little more professional but this is the creation of an 8 year old!
