Wheaton is a far western suburb of Chicago and is known for having a lot of churches. It also has this classic American style diner. It has this gorgeous sign on the outside and lots of good food and a delightful mural with these classic characters. They are also a vanishing form of signage that will probably soon be extinct. I have been photographing them in and around the Chicago area off and on for almost thirty years.
