A Mural of Our Lady of Guadalupe, New Mexico Postcard

"A Mural of Our Lady of Guadalupe, New Mexico" by Catherine Sherman. A mural on the porch wall of an adobe house in New Mexico, depicts an artistic rendering of "Our Lady of Guadalupe" that appeared on the cloak of Mexican peasant named Juan Diego. Juan Diego reported that Mary appeared to him on four occasions and once to his uncle, Juan Bernardino. The appearances are believed to have occurred in December 1531, when the Mexican territories were under the Spanish Empire. The mural is flanked by red pepper ristras. The cloak (tilmahtli) with the image of Mary is enshrined within the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. The basilica is the most-visited Catholic shrine in the world, and the world's third most-visited sacred site. Our Lady of Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin of Guadalupe. The mural is in a town on the road from Santa Fe to Albuquerque, on what is called The Turquoise Trail.

I joined Postcrossing a few months ago and wanted postcards to represent my state well. I found them on Zazzle. I purchased numerous cards and was impressed with all of them. Excellent! The colors are beautiful. The cards have the exact look I wanted. I couldn't be happier.
