Abraham Lincoln: 16th President of America Coaster Set
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, led the nation through its darkest hour: the Civil War. Born in a humble log cabin in Kentucky, Lincoln's rise from a self-taught lawyer to the nation's highest office was a testament to his determination and unwavering belief in democracy. - As the war erupted in 1861, Lincoln faced immense challenges. The Confederacy, led by eleven Southern states, aimed to secede from the Union over the issue of slavery. Lincoln's unwavering resolve to preserve the Union became a rallying cry for the North. He instituted a draft, expanded the army, and oversaw the blockade of Southern ports. - One of Lincoln's most significant actions was the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, which declared the freedom of enslaved people in Confederate territory. This bold move transformed the war into a moral crusade against slavery, gaining international support for the Union cause. - Throughout the war, Lincoln faced immense pressure and criticism. He endured the deaths of countless soldiers, the political maneuvering of his cabinet, and the constant threat of assassination. Yet, he remained steadfast in his commitment to preserving the Union and ending slavery. - Lincoln's leadership during the Civil War was marked by his unwavering determination, strategic thinking, and moral compass. His Gettysburg Address, delivered in 1863, became a defining moment in American history, encapsulating the ideals of liberty and equality for which the war was fought. - Lincoln's assassination in 1865, just days before the war's end, was a tragic loss for the nation. However, his legacy as the "Great Emancipator" and the savior of the Union endures. His unwavering belief in the principles of democracy and equality continues to inspire generations, reminding us of the power of perseverance and the importance of preserving the Union.

I have tried making my own coasters with modge podge or protect them with unhealthy spray coatings, only to be disappointed that when someone used them, the art would stain or smudge. Not these. High quality product. I can’t wait to display and sell them. Colors were same as my original picture. Clear and just what I was hoping for. I’ll be buying more.
