National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day is April 30th every year. In the 1990s, I found myself with spare time to foster cats and kittens for the Toronto Humane Society. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Our third rescue cat is famously known as Editor Cat. And I felt compelled to feature her on a stein, since #NationalAdoptAShelterPetDay is coming up. Pets provide unconditional love and teach us all how to be loving, gentle and responsible (I've almost always had a pet in my life). Recent news of tariff wars has led to many people seeking to buy local.
