Agehachoo Japanese Mon Family Crest butterfly Throw Pillow

I have been fascinated with Japanese culture, language and craftmanship ever since I went to school and learnt Japanese, as well as practicing Aikido for a little while during my university days. A few years ago, I started creating products with Japanese family crests, known as mon or kamon, which of course has significant meaning to anyone who has one, but which also can serve as beautiful Japanese-style decorations for anyone else with an interest in Japanese culture. This particular one, Agehachoo, Agehachou, or agehacho – depending on which system of transcription you prefer – the butterfly, is a design that was requested by a customer, but they were unable to find just the right one online as it exists in several versions, most of them squarer and not as well-suited to the circular style of the mon, so I had to recreate it myself in just the right style, which I also prefer to the other ones.
