24 September is aHUS Awareness Day. Dedicated to sharing information and insight into the extremely rare disease atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, the aHUS Alliance invites people and organizations around the world to participate in raising aHUS awareness. The world’s first aHUS Awareness Day was created as an international effort by the aHUS Alliance and held in 2015 on 24 September, marking that same week 60 years ago the term Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome first appeared in medical literature.
