Alphonse Mucha Gismonda invitations. Lithograph poster from 1894. Generally considered one of the foundational works of the Art Nouveau movement, Alphonse Mucha’s Gismonda first appeared in Paris in 1895 promoting Victroien Sardou’s play starring French actress Sarah Bernhardt. The poster features the actress holding a palm leaf decked out in an elegant gold and white royal robe with exotic pink flowers in her red hair. The title of the play appears at the top of the poster and the theatre appears at the bottom, both ornately decorated in the style that would typify much of Mucha’s commercial work. A great gift for fans of Mucha, art nouveau, and vintage theatre posters.

I am absolutely in love with the way my invites looks, the mom was unbelievably surprised and grateful. We were wary of sending off for a mail in shower, but step one was to personalize it... we started with these invitations. The printing was great; no errors... HOWEVER the writing on the back of the invitation turned out upside down... I’m a bit persnickety, so this bothered me.
The writing on the back appeared to be right-side-up on the preview, so this is something I’ll have to look into more carefully when using zazzleblack.

This is the second time I’ve ordered, and it’s just as good as the first. Thick, high quality paper stock, small enough so that it fits in with shipping small paintings, and what I like the most is that it comes with advice on how to care for the painting which is so valuable since many buyers aren’t aware of. I prefer a minimalist look, so I skipped any logos and all the printing was in black. The printing quality was excellent.
