Elegant ,colorful seascape with red sun, sea waves in vibrant black,brown,white colors re-elaborated from an antique japanese miniature. Amaterasu is a part of the Japanese myth cycle and also a major deity of the Shinto religion. She is the goddess of the sun, but also of the universe. The name Amaterasu derived from Amateru meaning "shining in heaven." The meaning of her whole name, Amaterasu-ōmikami, is "the great August kami (god) who shines in the heaven".For Amaterasu is also credited with inventing the cultivation of rice and wheat, the use of silkworms and weaving with the loom.

I only have one complaint. I ordered the watch with clear case and strap, and what was sent was white case and strap. I'm going to keep it because 1) it looks very nice in white, and 2) it would take too long to get a replacement made and sent in time for my occasion. Aside from the mix up with the color, the watch does look very good in white. The purple dial is actually sparkly which did not show in the online images. That was a nice surprise. If you like Swatch watches this is very similar to those. It's 33.6mm in diameter, 10.5mm thick, and 40.6mm lug to lug. Stainless steel case back says 3ATM/30m WR, so no swimming or showering or submerging this one. If you like Woodstock, this is a great choice.

I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of this watch. It's an easy size to wear on a small wrist and both the band and the watch are well made. I also liked the translucent case the watch is packaged in. The printing is crisp and clear and shows off my Create With Photos oyster flower design well.
