American Plains Buffalo Bison Magnet

A young male Buffalo or Bull stands his ground as a larger Buffalo tests his courage. This young Buffalo or Bison as they are sometimes known, dreams of becoming a warrior in his herd, a soldier who defends when under siege and attacks when protecting his female mate. Wild Buffalo are fascinating to watch especially when they are interacting with each other. They conduct mock fights and mock courting rituals when young, in preparation for the real thing. Although considered dangerous, Buffalo are mild-mannered when in their own habitat and left to graze in peace. They are herbiforous meaning they graze on grasses like sedge and being ungulates, they also spend a lot of their daily routine chewing their cud and resting until the next browsing session
