The case is thin and doesn't add bulk to the phone, it is absolutely a cool conversation piece that the case is actually made of real wood. Perfect! You can barely feel the engraving in the wood but there's a great contrast so you can really see the detail nicely!

I like how this cover fits on my phone. I would recommend a screen protector if you are concerned about dropping your phone a lot. The case is not too bulky but it so far has protected my phone (with an additional screen protector) in accidental drops. I've dropped it a couple of times and it bounced off the bumpers but I have only dropped on semi soft surfaces. Only other issue is I expected the case to be heavier but it is lightweight. In case someone likes one or the other in phone cases. The design with the wood grain showing through looks really nice. Adding my initials showed up clearly but still blends in with the design.
