Personally I think I got the best end of the deal here. No idea what stereo sounds like, but I do know that I can (and have) slept through road-workers operating a pneumatic drill at 8am outside my bedroom window. I only know that because it woke the rest of the house up. I slumbered on until noon. Just one of the many benefits inherent in single-sided deafness.
