Anne of Green Gables CC1086 Birthday invitation

Birthday invitation inspired by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery and her novels about Anne Shirley. The design is simple and calm, with a color scheme of soft blue tones, and probably useful also for people that are much older than Anne Shirley. I guess we are many that still enjoy the language in these books, at least the internet seems to be full of eloquent Montgomery quotes. Inside the card is one of my own favorites (Anne of Avonlea, 1909, Just a happy day), somewhat adapted for birthday invitations: Let's share a day of Simple Little Pleasures, one following the other, softly, like pearls slipping off a string. I wish us all many more of those! The silhouette of Anne Shirley is created from an oil painting by British artist George Clausen (A schoolgirl, 1889).
