Antique Persian Oriental Rug Design Pillow

This lively design originates from an antique Persian bagface, circa 1870. It was hand woven in the Kurdistan District of northwest Iran. Bagfaces, also known as saddlebags, had two decorated pouches and the smaller ones were usually used on donkeys. The center medallion has a somewhat geometric floral design in a soft ocean blue, deep rose pink, and light jade green. The larger rectangle has various shades of pinks, blues, browns and peach. The borders consist of all the wonderful colors found throughout the beautifully crafted rug. The artfully crafted design will be a colorful and stylish addition to your decor.
