Apollo 17 was the final mission of the NASA Apollo lunar landing program, and was the sixth and last landing of humans on the Moon. The insignia is contains an image of the Greek sun god Apollo, an American eagle, red bars representing the U.S. flag; and three white stars symbolizing the three astronaut crewmen; Eugene Cernan, Ronald Evans, and Harrison Schmitt. The background shows deep space, the Moon, the planet Saturn, and a spiral galaxy.
